Fitzgerald Lane, branching from historic Lee Road near Barkers Corner, follows the course of the original lane leading to the homestead of John Isaac Fitzgerald (John Ike) on La Tice Branch.

Upon these storied homestead grounds now stands the beautiful Chateau Brendale, gracing the site where Martin Garland Sharp and his wife, Grace Fitzgerald Sharp, granddaughter of John Ike, once tended their family vegetable garden — ground that knew hard work, good harvests, and the deep roots of kinfolk who made their lives there.

Today, it stands as a lasting tribute to the heritage, devotion, and enduring legacy of those who came before.
